2) Data Collection When Visiting Our Website

2.1 When using our website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”). When you visit our website, we collect the following data which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the page
  • Used browser

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are specific indications of unlawful use.

2.2 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. orders or inquiries to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser line.

3) Hosting & Content Delivery Network

To host our website and display the content, we use a provider who provides its services either directly or through selected subcontractors exclusively on servers within the European Union.
All data collected on our website is processed on these servers.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our website visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies are automatically deleted after closing the browser (so-called “session cookies”), others remain on your device longer and allow the storage of page settings (so-called “persistent cookies”). The storage duration of persistent cookies can be found in the cookie settings of your web browser.
If personal data is also processed through individual cookies we use, the processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the execution of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if consent has been given, or in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to protect our legitimate interest in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the website visit.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to decide individually on their acceptance or to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general.
Please note that if you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

5) Contacting Us

When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), personal data is collected. The specific data collected via a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. These data are stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and the associated technical administration.
The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, then the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted after the final processing of your request, provided that there are no legal retention obligations.

6) Web Analytics Services

6.1 Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables analysis of your use of our website.
By default, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies when visiting the website, which are stored on your device and collect certain information. This includes your IP address, which is, however, shortened by Google by the last digits to exclude direct personal identification.
The information is transmitted to Google’s servers and processed there. Transfers to Google LLC in the USA are also possible.
Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. The data collected via Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.
All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies, only takes place if you have given us your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your visit. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by deactivating the service via the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google to ensure the protection of our site visitors’ data and prohibit unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Further legal information on Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/en/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Demographic Features Google Analytics 4 uses the special “demographics” function to create statistics on age, gender, and interests. This is based on advertising and third-party information and helps identify target groups. The data cannot be assigned to specific individuals and is deleted after two months.
Google Signals As an extension to Google Analytics 4, this website may use Google Signals to create cross-device reports. If you have enabled personalized ads and linked your devices to your Google account, Google – with your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR – may analyze your usage behavior across devices and generate models including cross-device conversions. We receive only statistics from Google, not personal data. You can stop cross-device analysis by deactivating “personalized advertising” in your Google account. See https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en for details. More info on Google Signals: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=en
UserIDs As an extension to Google Analytics 4, this site may use the “UserIDs” function. If you consent to Google Analytics 4 under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, create an account on this site, and log in across different devices, your activity, including conversions, may be analyzed across devices.
For data transfers to the USA, Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring compliance with EU data protection levels.

6.2 Google Tag Manager
This website uses the “Google Tag Manager,” a service provided by: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter “Google”).
The Google Tag Manager provides a technical foundation to bundle various web applications—including tracking and analytics services—via a unified interface and control them conditionally. The Google Tag Manager itself neither stores nor reads information on user devices, nor does it perform independent data analyses. However, upon page access, your IP address is transmitted to Google and may be stored there. Transmission to servers of Google LLC in the USA is also possible.
This processing only takes place if you have given your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without such consent, the use of Google Tag Manager does not occur during your site visit. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by deactivating this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with European data protection levels.
Further legal information about Google Tag Manager can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/en/privacy/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

7) Retargeting/ Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

Google Ads Remarketing
This website uses retargeting technology from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland
For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in your browser, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Further data processing will only take place if you have agreed with Google that your web and app browsing history is linked to your Google account and that information from your Google account is used to personalize ads you view on the web. If you are logged into Google during your visit to our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data will be temporarily linked by Google with Google Analytics data to form target audiences.
The use of Google Ads Remarketing may also result in the transmission of personal data to Google LLC servers in the USA.
All processing described above, particularly the setting of cookies for reading information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, retargeting technologies will not be used during your visit.
You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by deactivating the service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which, based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission, ensures compliance with European data protection levels.
Details about Google’s data processing and how they handle data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

8) Site Features

Vimeo
This website uses plugins for displaying and playing videos from the following provider: Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA
When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider’s servers in order to load the plugin. In this process, certain information—including your IP address—is transmitted to the provider.
If playback of embedded videos via the plugin is started, the provider also uses cookies to collect information about user behavior, compile playback statistics, and prevent abusive behavior.
If you are logged into a user account with the provider during your site visit, your data will be directly associated with your account when you click on a video. If you do not want this association with your account, you must log out before clicking the play button.
All processing described above, especially the setting of cookies for reading information from the device used, is carried out only if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your granted consent at any time with future effect by deactivating this service via the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
For data transfers to the USA, the provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

9) Tools and Miscellaneous

Cookie Consent Tool
This website uses a so-called “Cookie Consent Tool” to obtain effective user consents for cookies requiring consent and cookie-based applications. The “Cookie Consent Tool” is displayed to users upon page access in the form of an interactive user interface, where consents for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications can be given by ticking boxes. In this process, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user has granted consent by ticking the corresponding box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user’s device if consent has been given.
The tool uses technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in the process.
If, in individual cases, the processing of personal data (such as the IP address) should occur for the purpose of storing, assigning, or logging cookie settings, this processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.
An additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user’s consent.
Where necessary, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of our site visitors’ data and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.
Further information about the operator and the setting options of the Cookie Consent Tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

10) Rights of the Data Subject

10.1 The applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights with respect to the controller concerning the processing of your personal data (rights of access and intervention), for which reference is made to the stated legal basis for the respective conditions of exercise:

Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR;

  • Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR;
  • Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR;
  • Right to notification pursuant to Art. 19 GDPR;
  • Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR;
  • Right to withdraw consent pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.

10.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT
IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR PREDOMINANT LEGITIMATE INTEREST IN THE CONTEXT OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE.
IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL CEASE PROCESSING THE RELEVANT DATA.
HOWEVER, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CONTINUE PROCESSING IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ESTABLISH, EXERCISE, OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING.
YOU MAY EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE AFFECTED DATA FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.

11) Retention Period for Personal Data

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined based on the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing, and—if applicable—also on the relevant statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax law retention periods).

When processing personal data based on explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, the data concerned will be stored until you revoke your consent.

If statutory retention periods apply to data that is processed under contractual or quasi-contractual obligations pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, this data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods expire, provided it is no longer required for contract fulfillment or contract initiation and/or we have no legitimate interest in continued storage.

When processing personal data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

When processing personal data for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information contained in this declaration regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
