2) Data Collection When Visiting Our Website

2.1 When using our website purely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to the server of our site (so-called “server log files”). When you access our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time at the moment of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the site
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)

Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to subsequently check the server log files if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

2.2 For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. orders or inquiries to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser line.

3) Hosting & Content Delivery Network

For the hosting of our website and the display of the page content, we use a provider who provides its services itself or through selected subcontractors exclusively on servers within the European Union. All data collected on our website is processed on these servers. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

4) Cookies

In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of these cookies are automatically deleted after you close your browser (so-called “session cookies”), while others remain on your end device for a longer period of time and allow the storage of site settings (so-called “persistent cookies”). In the latter case, you can find the storage duration in the overview of your browser’s cookie settings.

If personal data is also processed by individual cookies we use, the processing is carried out either pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the performance of a contract, pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in the event of consent given, or pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website as well as a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually on their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general.

Please note that if cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

5) Contact

When contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), personal data is collected. Which data is collected in the case of using a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your request and/or for contacting you and the associated technical administration.

The legal basis for the processing of this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your contact aims at concluding a contract, an additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted after final processing of your request. This is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations conflict.

6) Web Analytics Services

6.1 Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which enables an analysis of your use of our website.

By default, cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 when you visit the website, which are stored as small text modules on your end device and collect certain information. The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which, however, is shortened by Google by the last digits to exclude direct personal reference.

The information is transferred to Google’s servers and further processed there. Transfers to Google LLC based in the USA are also possible.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services relating to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics and shortened will not be merged with other Google data. The data collected in the context of using Google Analytics 4 is stored for two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies on the device used, will only take place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Without your consent, the use of Google Analytics 4 does not take place during your visit to the site. You can revoke your consent with effect for the future at any time. To exercise your right of revocation, please deactivate this service via the “Cookie-Consent-Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information on Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographic Characteristics
Google Analytics 4 uses the special “demographic characteristics” function and can thereby create statistics that provide information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done by analyzing advertising and information from third-party providers. This makes it possible to identify target groups for marketing activities. However, the data collected cannot be assigned to a specific person and is deleted after being stored for a period of two months.

Google Signals
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, Google Signals can be used on this website to generate cross-device reports. If you have enabled personalized ads and have linked your devices to your Google account, Google can analyze your usage behavior across devices, subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, and create database models, including cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you want to stop cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the “Personalized Advertising” function in the settings of your Google account. Follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en Further information on Google Signals can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=en

UserIDs
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, the “UserIDs” function can be used on this website. If you have consented to the use of Google Analytics 4 pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, have created an account on this website and log in to this account on different devices, your activities, including conversions, can be analyzed across devices.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

6.2 Google Tag Manager
This website uses the “Google Tag Manager”, a service of the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter: “Google”).

The Google Tag Manager provides a technical basis for bundling various web applications, including tracking and analytics services, and calibrating, controlling and linking them to conditions via a uniform user interface. The Google Tag Manager itself does not store or read information on user devices. Nor does the service perform any independent data analyses. However, when you access the site, your IP address is transmitted to Google via the Google Tag Manager and may be stored there. A transfer to servers of Google LLC. in the USA is also possible.

This processing is only carried out if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, the use of Google Tag Manager does not take place during your site visit. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the “Cookie-Consent-Tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties. For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

Further legal information on Google Tag Manager can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en

7) Retargeting/ Remarketing and Conversion Tracking

Google Ads Remarketing
This website uses retargeting technology from the following provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland.

For this purpose, Google places a cookie in the browser of your end device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you have visited. Further data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your Internet and app browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you view on the web. If you are logged into Google during your visit to our website in this case, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data is temporarily linked with Google Analytics data by Google in order to create target groups. Within the framework of the use of Google Ads Remarketing, personal data may also be transferred to servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

All processing described above, in particular the setting of cookies for reading out information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, the use of retargeting technology does not take place during your site visit.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the “Cookie-Consent-Tool” provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

Details of the processing initiated by Google and how Google handles data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partnersites

Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/ and https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

7.2 LinkedIn Insight
This website uses retargeting technology from the following provider: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

This makes it possible to target visitors to our website with personalized, interest-based advertising who have already shown an interest in our shop and our products. The display of advertising material is based on a cookie-based analysis of previous and current usage behavior, although no personal data is stored. In the case of retargeting technology, a cookie is stored on your computer or mobile device in order to collect pseudonymized data about your interests and to tailor the advertising individually to the stored information. These cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device. This means you are shown advertising that is highly likely to match your product and information interests.

7.3 Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking
This website uses conversion tracking technology from the following provider: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA.

For the use of Universal Event Tracking, a tag is placed on every page of our website that interacts with the conversion cookie set by Microsoft. This interaction makes user behavior on our website traceable and sends the information collected in this way to Microsoft. The purpose of this is that certain predefined goals such as purchases or leads can be recorded and evaluated statistically in order to make the alignment and content of our offers more interest-oriented. The tags never serve to personally identify users.

8) Site Functionalities

Vimeo
This website uses plugins for displaying and playing videos from the following provider: Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA.

When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider’s servers in order to load the plugin. Certain information, including your IP address, is transmitted to the provider in the process.

If playback of embedded videos via the plugin is started, the provider also sets cookies to collect information about user behavior, to compile playback statistics and to prevent abusive behavior.

If you are logged into a user account with the provider during your site visit, your data will be directly assigned to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want this assignment to your account, you must log out before activating the playback button.

All of the aforementioned processing, in particular the setting of cookies for reading information on the end device used, will only take place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke the consent you have given at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service via the “Cookie-Consent-Tool” provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

9) Tools and Miscellaneous

Cookie-Consent-Tool
This website uses a so-called “Cookie-Consent-Tool” to obtain effective user consents for cookies requiring consent and cookie-based applications. The “Cookie-Consent-Tool” is displayed to users when they access the site in the form of an interactive user interface, on which consent can be given for certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications by ticking boxes. By using the tool, all cookies/services requiring consent are only loaded if the respective user has given their corresponding consent by ticking the boxes. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the respective user’s end device in the event that consent has been granted.

The tool sets technically necessary cookies to store your cookie preferences. Personal user data is generally not processed in this context.

If, in individual cases, personal data (such as the IP address) is processed for the purpose of storing, assigning or logging cookie settings, this is carried out pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in a lawful, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a lawful design of our online presence.

Another legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. As the controller, we are legally obliged to make the use of cookies that are not technically necessary dependent on the respective user’s consent. Where required, we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider, which ensures the protection of the data of our website visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further information about the operator and the settings of the Cookie-Consent-Tool can be found directly in the corresponding user interface on our website.

10) Rights of the Data Subject

10.1 The applicable data protection law grants you the following rights (rights of access and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, whereby reference is made to the stated legal basis for the respective conditions for exercising these rights:

  • Right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR;

  • Right to withdraw consent granted pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR;
  • Right to lodge a complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.

10.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT
IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR OVERRIDING LEGITIMATE INTEREST IN THE CONTEXT OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA IN QUESTION. FURTHER PROCESSING IS RESERVED IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING. YOU CAN EXERCISE THE OBJECTION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA IN QUESTION FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES.

11) Duration of the Storage of Personal Data

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined on the basis of the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and—if relevant—additionally on the basis of the respective statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax law retention periods).

When processing personal data on the basis of an explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, the data concerned will be stored until you revoke your consent.

If statutory retention periods exist for data that is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR in the context of contractual or quasi-contractual obligations, this data will be routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided it is no longer required for the performance of the contract or initiation of a contract and/or there is no legitimate interest on our part in further storage.

When processing personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

When processing personal data for the purpose of direct advertising on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this data will be stored until you exercise your right to object pursuant to Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this notice regarding specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
